Our Mission:

The mission of the Warren Church Community Childcare and Preschool is to provide safe, nurturing, FUN, developmentally appropriate care for children 6 weeks old to 12 years of age.  Our small center is a place where lasting friendships begin...

Our Philosophy:

The WCCC philosophy follows the Developmentally Appropriate Practice Model
(DAP). This refers to providing an environment and offering content, materials,
experiences, activities, and methodologies that are coordinated with a child's
level of development and for which the child is ready. Appropriate practice
encompasses three dimensions of appropriateness: age appropriateness, individual
appropriateness, and cultural appropriateness. In DAP, children are the
initiators of activity and teachers are the facilitators.

Young children learn best when they:
  • actively participate
  • work at their own pace and in their own style
  • talk with each other
  • use real, authentic objects
  • build on their own experiences
  • follow their natural curiosity
  • experiment to find solutions to their own real problems
  • choose what they want to do.

Testimonials:

* I could not have better things to say about WCCC. The staff are the sweetest, most caring, diligent caretakers I have met, and my son is learning new things every day there! I love this center, as does my son, and I recommend it to everyone with young children! ~Bethany, parent

 * As a mom and a teacher I wanted to find a place that would foster my son's social/emotional needs as well as support him developmentally and academically.  I love having my son at WCCC because I know he is in a safe, loving environment where teachers can focus on individual children and form relationships with them and their family.  As a mom, I trust all of the teachers at WCCC and know they take great care of the kids.   As a teacher, I know that the day at WCCC and the curriculum supports him and all children where ever they may be developmentally.  I can't imagine my son anywhere else- they have become a great support system for my son and we are excited for Pre-K years ahead. ~ Cora, parent

* My son has attended WCCC since he was 3 months old.  He's now graduated from the preschool program.  Thanks to the loving caring staff he has grown so much there, and is 100% ready to jump into kindergarten.~ Amy,  parent

* Miss Patty, you are my best friend.  ~Emma, student
